In the summer of 2010 my Grampa was diagosed with ALS. A week and 1/2 before Christmas he passed away from complications of the disease. In looking ahead at 2011, I have made it my resolution to run a 5K each month of the year to raise money and awareness for the ALS Association. Every step of the way he is with me and every step of the way we are helping those that will receive the diagnosis this year and/or are currently living with the devastating disease that is ALS. Please donate if you are able by visiting the following link to the Community of Hope Fund page set up in Grampa Hudson's memory. You could donate a small amount each month or a large lump sum for the year, no amount is too small and you can do it when its most convenient for you! http://web.alsa.org/goto/hudsonshoofer

Rugged Update

I'm official:
234       2009      MOLLY M HUDSON       1:11:57       28      F     BOSTON, MA

This puts me placing 242nd out of 234 people in my particular wave, 1478th out of 1680 women competing and 1415th out of 1608 women in the ages 19-54 category. All around not very impressive but I am more than happy to have competed, to have finished, and to have finished with a calf injury.

Here's a few photos that tell a better story that the cleaner looking ones you say last week:

October is going to be a busy month. Training commences today because in just 3 short weeks I will compete in the Rock N Roll 10K in Brooklyn, NY followed the next morning by the Witch City 5K in Salem, MA, followed shortly thereafter by the Devil's Chase 6.66 miler on Saturday the 29th. It's going to be a strenuous month and I'm ready for the challenge!

Thanks for reading ... Worcester Fundraiser is in 2 weeks, hope you can make it!
